Case – Forklift driver injured amid an accident
In 2018, an accident happened when our client, a forklift truck driver, was inside a trailer which he was unloading. The floor of the trailer broke, causing the forklift truck to fall into a hole, jolting our client in his seat and causing injury.
A famous furniture company agreed to contribute £3,500 to our client’s damages, with the remaining £3,500 being paid by a haulage company.
Outcome – Furniture company and haulage company admit 50% liability
The furniture company initially denied liability, blaming the owner of the trailer, which had been making deliveries. However, they later agreed to meet 50% of our client’s claim, with the haulage company meeting the other 50%.
